I first became acquainted with (ashtanga) yoga in 2016, and with smaller and larger breaks, it has now become a regular part of my life. As a child, I was a competitive athlete for years, later I ran and played volleyball, so I started on the path of ashtanga yoga with very tight muscles and a stiff body. It's the result of persistent practice that today my body no longer trembles when I want to touch my big toe :)!
Yoga is a miracle to me, it means 'being in connection with myself.' In the past, I was much more inclined to seek security outside, only outside, not within myself. Yoga helped me realize that security is within me. The practice sensitizes and my body signals everything - good and bad - I've become healthier. As a Gestalt therapist, I sincerely believe that people are capable of connecting to their bodies and this supports them at any time.
